Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) is a non-invasive hearing test that measures your ability to hear sounds at different frequencies and volumes. It's the most common and fundamental hearing assessment performed in audiology clinics.
How It Works
The Process
- • You sit in a soundproof booth
- • Wear headphones delivering test tones
- • Raise your hand when you hear each tone
- • Test covers frequencies from 125 Hz to 8000 Hz
- • Takes approximately 20-30 minutes
